We obtain our electricity from our own renewable energy sources. Our ingredients come from the neighbourhood wherever possible. In front, behind, right and left. Wherever you turn your gaze, nature always greets you. The deep green fir trees and grassy hills of the Black Forest embrace us like a protective wall. So why shouldn't we protect this beautiful corner of the world? We conserve the resources that the region gives us. We see to it that our footprint becomes smaller and smaller. And we are convinced that the relationship between man and nature is all about give and take.

We produce 100% local and renewable energy in our own energy plant. We are energy-autonomous right down to the last corner of the resort: a sustainable hotel in the green heart of the Black Forest!
Didn't our grandparents already know that food tastes best at home? We source our ingredients ‘just like back then’ from close by. We like it best when they grow, thrive or are native to the Black Forest. And if we do have to travel a little further afield, we make sure we don't cross the borders of the country.
